Mental Health Counselors and their duties are pretty straightforward and self-explanatory. They help treat and give patients ways to overcome emotional or mental disorders and relationship issues through therapeutic inquiry and try to offer a clearer understanding of their situation. The counselors often encourage the client to speak of the emotional or problematic experience; they make them open up. Why I Chose This Career
This career caught my eye specifically due to the fact that I heard it deals with helping people out and talking about their problems. I have a friend that is currently going through some dark issues within her life and I want to help people like my friend and cast them out of it and into the light. I want them to know that they’re not alone and that they can be comfortable opening up to me or any other therapist/mental health counselor, given the confidentiality of each and every session.
