Mental Health Care Sponsor Case Study

Was communicated to the sponsor the importance of mental health services. The minor is doing well. The sponsor stated he has taken the minor to Brandywine Medical Services located at 7450 Albert Rd. Brandywine MD and the minor was seen by a therapist which recommended no extra services for the minor. The CMS provided the sponsor with a list of free clinics around her area. The sponsor will monitor the minor behavior and seek services if necessary.

The importance of continuing the minor’s education was discussed with the sponsor. The sponsor has not enrolled the minor to any educational program, yet he has identified McDonald High School located 7165 Marshall Corner Rd, Pomfret, MD 20675. The sponsor will take the time to enroll the minor for the following school year. The sponsor agreed to monitor the minor’s academic progress and ensure the minor’s education needs continues to be met.

The importance of providing the minor with legal representation during the minor's upcoming court hearing was discussed with the sponsor. The sponsor was provided with the immigration court information hotline, and instructed on its use.
