The participants in this study had normal vision and audition. None of them were overweight, obese, or taking medications that affected the central nervous system. They had no current or past psychiatric or neurological illnesses, and for the sake of the tests were all right handed. Also, beforehand they were instructed to abstain from alcohol for twenty-four hours and from substances containing caffeine for twelve hours.
