Menopause Summary

D-The patient arrived on time for her session. Before the session started, this writer allow the patient to dose first. Upon conducting the session, the patients reports about her Valium still being "in her system" and got in trouble for it. This writer reviewed the patient's script and notice the patient was not prescribed for the medication and asked the patient as to how she got the medication. According to the patient, she would get the medication from a friend and is aware of the danger of doing this. It surprised the patient that she was caught by her UDS result. This writer addressed the harmful interaction with medication and methadone. The patient stated, " I know.....I know, I will not do it again." The patient appeared to be sweating and blames it on menopause. However, the patient then says, " I need to go up on my methadone." When asked why. The patient then says " I am sweating, getting water eyes, and around 3 am or 9am, I am feeling nausea." Addressing the nausea feeling, this writer asked the patient that after she dose, does she experience any fatigue or tiredness. The patient response was a no. This writer noticed the sweat as the patient continues to wipe the sweat off her forehead with her hand, but says it is menopause. The patient stated that she hasn't used any heroin, but when asked as to her alternatives to address her withdrawals and her response was, " I take Motrin and do a lot stretching as I tend to get some body aches." …show more content…
