Men In Black Conspiracy Theory

The Truth is Out There Decades ago the first extraterrestrial life form came to Earth. The first humans these beings made contact with decided that the best course of action would be to conceal their existence until a more appropriate time. Throughout the years these men have used various strategies to seize and discredit evidence that could verify the presence of aliens on Earth. These men are known as the men in black. Thanks to the similarly titled comedy blockbuster, Men in Black that was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, the conspiracy theory of these secret agents were brought to light. Much like in reality the film shows two agents identified as agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) and agent Jay (Will Smith)—obviously dressed in black suits and ties—working for a highly funded yet unofficial government agency. The agency, better known as M.I.B, provides services in the immigration and regulation of extraterrestrial beings living on Earth. Also, in order to keep Earth safe, the M.I.B agents intercept …show more content…
Yet when examining detailed experiences, one can begin to connect the dots of the conspiracy. According to British author of The Real Men in Black, Nick Redfern, accounts of those who shared encounters with the men in black all had similar denominators. All victims admittedly had seen a UFO, were involved in an alien abduction of some sort, or possessed an unexplainable artifact. In Redfern’s book a mother and housewife named Helen had seen a strange flying object near her house. She recalls that only a few days passed until she began to see strange men dressed in black suits follow her. The Betty and Barney Hill Abduction case is more famous compared to other alien encounters because the other cases were mere followers. Because it is the first public account of alien abduction, there was controversy; the questionable evidence of when, where, and why it happened still intrigues today. First set evidence is looking at when it happened, we can tell it happened in the early 1960’s. It was September 19, 1961, night the Hills were on their way home to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, after a holiday in Montreal. “The story of the alleged UFO abduction of Betty and Barney Hill in New Hampshire in 1961 is well known to the public.”…

The murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy lead to several people wondering if it was one individual or more involved in the shooting. Lee Harvey Oswald was known to kill the President all by himself. The question is, how can Oswald be the only person that contributed in the killing when there were 3 shots fired? “You probably also know there are hundreds of conspiracy theories about who was behind the assassination, and whether Oswald was the lone gunman or if there was another shooter on the infamous grassy knoll” (Escobedo). With that said, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy was a conspiracy due to the 3 bullets that have been shot.…

Although there are suspicions of Lee Harvey Oswald’s connections to the USSR, as can be seen from his passion for communism or his Russian wife and their young child, and also to the Mafia, which was plotting for revenge against John F. Kennedy due to not maintaining alleged promises made before his election in 1960, the statement is to a greater extent invalid due to acknowledging Oswald’s capabilities with firearms he acquired through training in the United States military, along with Oswald’s dysfunctional mental state caused from his unfortunate upbringing and disappointment with being unable to reach any of his ambitions. The most significant source of evidence to support the prompt is Lee Harvey Oswald’s connections and sympathies…

I had always been fascinated by modern mysteries and conspiracy theories, but before this class, I had no clue what to accept and how to analyze the information that I was presented to me. I chose the topic of the Moon Landing, because it enabled me to take a second look at the conspiracy theory through a new lens of experience. To understand where this idea of a hoax originates, we need to understand what was going on before the Apollo 11 moon landing. Starting in the 1950s, America was in a cold war with Soviet Russia, which was less of a physical battle and more of a challenge of who had a better structured government. It was a challenge of superiority that eventually led to the space race in 1955.…
