Upon entering the exhibit, it appeared that most of the pieces were the same genre. Crone had many works which were landscape settings. There were also seascapes and harbor scenes.

The piece that I would rate as my overall favorite was located on the back wall of the exhibit hall. It was very large, so that it covered most of the wall. It was a charcoal sketch on tan paper. Throughout this sketch, there were white highlighted markings, which added to the contrast of the dark, black velvet appearance of the charcoal. The work depicted a woman in Victorian-Era attire. Her head was adorned by a very large hat decorated with a bow and feather plumage. Her gloved right hand clutched the glove from her bare right hand. Her bare left hand is shown pulling at the folds of her floor-length skirt. Her gaze looked wistful, as her eyes appeared to be looking off into the distance. I sensed a feeling of forlorn in her, as she avoided eye contact with the artist by looking
