Memorial Day is a day reserved to remember those who have lost their lives in active military service. Often times the true meaning of this holiday gets lost somewhere along the way. Memorial Day, for numerous people, is a day off from work/school, a trip to the beach, or a barbeque with friends and family. It is saddening to imagine that some people may not even think about the millions of men and women who didn’t make it home from the battle field, on the day organized just for that.
