Memorial day is a day that families should come together. For my family, we gather at a relatives house and grill out. It is a good day for us to see each other, although everyone is a walk away, Memorial day is an excuse to see each other. It is an excuse to grill out and have a bond fire. Though none of us have had any recent family that have died fighting, we still say happy Memorial day because it truly is a happy day. Simply seeing someone you haven’t seen in awhile makes for a happy day. Even if you have lost someone and celebrate them on Memorial day, it is still a cheery day. Instead of mourning you should raise a glass and celebrate their service and contribution to a better life. That’s how I’d feel about celebrating Memorial day
