The protagonists explains how John talks to her he say’s “ What is it little girl? He said, do not go walking about life like that you’ll get cold”(Gilman). The protagonists also goes on to say “ John bein away not caring for the baby and not letting people visit”(Gilman). This shows how her husband is controlling and wants her to be alone and do nothing because it will help her get better.
