Memoir I never imagined I would be part of the band. When I was younger, I used to be really shy and I would only talk to a few people because I wasn’t really social. When I got to fifth grade, I had the option to join the band. At first, I didn’t really think band was my thing. But, my parents convinced me to join. They bought me a clarinet and I was really excited! On my first day of band, I wasn’t able to make any noise come out of my clarinet. I got really disappointed because everyone else was making noise and I felt like I was just blowing air into my horn for no reason. My freshman year I met a guy and he really liked rock music too and it was really fun to talk about what songs we liked and he also showed me songs that I had never heard, but, that I ended up loving. I love meeting people who I can bond over music with. Some day I would like to go to a music festival called Coachella, which is an annual festival held in Indigo, California. It’s where many artists of different genres of music, including rock, indie, and hip hop play and several stages continuously host live music. I would really love to go because I enjoy finding new music and I think it would be a great opportunity to meet new people that share the same passion for music as me.
When I to college, I plan on studying music because I want to expand my musical knowledge and do what makes me happy. Overall, music has made my high school experience really fun and I would’ve never been able to do the things that I have done If weren’t in band and choir. I really feel like being in music helped me get out of my comfort zone and made me a more social person and a better person.I am now sure of what I want to do in the future, even though when I was younger I
