He overcomes his disability by keeping pictures of locations and people he meets and tattoos on his body to remember important clues and events during his investigation. The movie is wonderful, because you start to become attached to the character and you worry about him when he falls into trouble along the way. Also you are continuously rooting for him as he tries to solve the crime, and feel the same sense of accomplishment that he feels when he comes one step closer to solving it. The director for this movie is Christopher Nolan and he is extremely famous for his style of elaborate scripts that keep the watcher interested in the story. He, and several other directors like him, are Scriptologists and they know how to immerse their audiences into a world that sometimes loses people in its lore. Like I said that is the beauty of filmmaking, there is a film out there that everyone can enjoy and love. The best of directors can in fact combine the categories into an amazing piece of cinematography. Steven Spielberg is seen doing this in several of his movies such as Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park. Indiana Jones is a very compelling story of an archaeologist that is faced with life and death situations. Indiana Jones is a true hero in the modern day american equation, he represents finding happiness through a hobby even if it leads to danger, and also having moral standards when faced with evil, even when it could mean your death. Not only that, but Indiana Jones also experiments with special effect, which today look cheesy, but back in the 90’s looked incredible for its time. Another great film that mixes slightly is Jurassic Park. It brings out the childhood dream that dinosaurs can still be brought back to life and can be studied. Yet, it also brings the dinosaurs to life through CGI that even looks great today. In fact, you could say that the way the dinosaurs were made on screen has really affected many movies today such as the animals that were made in Avatar. A more recent example of blending of the categories is the more recent Star Trek movies. J.J.
