This is evident when he throws Teddy’s keys away, uses Natalie’s ex-boyfriend’s possessions (car, clothes and money) and when he sits in his car pondering the fact that Teddy is right that he does lie to himself to keep him happy. In class this past week, we did an activity called the Signals Game, which I had actually done once before in high school. When I did it the first time, I was part of culture B, and I remember that I felt like such an outsider, even though there were other people that were in my culture with me. But this time, when we did it in class, I was part of culture A. For some reason, I found I was much more comfortable being in the group that tried to welcome the others than I was actually being part of “the others.” When I thought back on this, I think this really says something about society as a whole.…

Even when she was overcome with private responsibilities, Anthony read, developed feminist reasoning, and composed impressive addresses for the women’s movement (Kendall, n.d.). When she was at death’s door, Anthony stated that she had endeavored for over sixty years for just a little bit of fairness, yet never retrieved it. Anthony would often display her logic when debating or speaking to people. When an abolitionist clergyman told Anthony that because she had never been in matrimony, she had no business arguing about marriage, Anthony retorted that because he wasn’t a slave, he should quit talking about slavery. After Anthony assisted Mrs. Phelps, the spouse of a Massachusetts senator who had been beaten and sent to an insane asylum because…

In his theatrical interpretation, Wright explored multiple creative techniques which would heighten the action and thrill of his film. For its entirety, the audience saw no broad daylight scenes as Wright utilized dark schemes and settings to convey a disapproval of the ambitious characters (Critical). He achieved this by using filming techniques like manipulating the camera angle for a shot. When Macbeth speaks “let light not see my black and deep desires,” low camera angles and vectors were exploited to persist an inferior or frightening mood cast over the audience. This technique transferred a visual aspect to an emotion in order to convince the audience that they are afraid of Macbeth’s plot for his future by meddling with the persons above…

To discern whether something is based on truth, or instead based on someone’s viewpoint, proves to be a near impossible task. The three films in question, aim to explore and illustrate to the audience how stories, and by extension, events in history, always have more than one side to it. The way a story ends, whether it’s in a movie or a book, is extremely important. When a film or novel ends in an unsatisfactory way, those who watched or read it tend to be unhappy and the reviews will generally reflect this. Since the conclusion is the final installment, it is the portion that consumers tend to remember the most; therefore, a good conclusion is quintessential to any literary work. Ernest Hemingway found a great way to conclude In Our Time through the two-part story "The Big Two-Hearted River.…
