A lot of researchers predict that if we keep burning a lot of fossil fuels that the ice in Antarctica will continue to melt at a very high speed. Researchers also predict that rest of the ice in the world will melt around the same time as Antarctica, and warm oceans will expand. They also found out that the melting could happen in as little as a thousand years, causing the ocean to rise by about a foot per decade. Researchers found out that if the sea level was to rise about 200 feet it would put Florida, much of Louisiana , Texas along with the entire East Coast of the United States .
