The topic I have chosen for this paper is sleep. Sleep is when we relax to the point of no longer being conscious ( state of not being aware). During this time our bodies and muscles relax, and our brain uses this time to store some of the information and memories gained during the day. We should get some amount of sleep every 24 hour period. Our Circadian Rhythms reset about every 24 hours and sleep is needed during every one of these periods to keep our bodies working correctly. Our bodies are tired by night (or whenever our normal sleep time is) and our Pineal Gland (same gland that produces DMT)secretes Melatonin. Melatonin is a sleep hormone that our bodies produce when in it is time for us to go to sleep. Melatonin helps make us sleepy.
