The denotation of “creativity” is the use of the imagination or original ideas. Similarly, the feeling that “creativity” conveys is imaginative, joyus, and cheerful. Even though this word has a positive connotation to it on it’s own, the way that Rosenblatt uses the word “creativity” takes it and gives it a negative feel to it once it is incorporated into the whole sentence. This is because he added”passionless” which has a very negative connotation that is attached to it. Then, in result, it gives “creativity: a negative feeling to it.…

The human mind is a fascinating machine. I remember growing up and thinking there would be flying cars and talking robots by the 2010’s. Although we’ve got robot mops and vacuums, it’s not exactly what I expected. In the book, The Rise of the Creative Class, the author Richard Florida intertwines that idea of expecting more technological advances to occur throughout the years. He starts of his book with the analogy of a time travelling man from the 1950’s who visits the 1900’s, and then our present era. We learn from this analogy that the time travelling man would be more adaptable to our current technology, compared to the early 1900’s.…

“Creativity is the brain's invisible muscle -- that when used and exercised routinely -- becomes better and stronger” (Ormon, 2016). A good fictional story depends on the writer's ability to create imagery for the reader, which allows them to experience it through their own senses. Each cortex of an individual's brain exhibits an important function in every action, feeling, and reaction that the person experiences. In the readings, "Is Creativity Sexy? The Evolutionary Advantages of Artistic Thinking" and "Your Brain on Fiction", Sam McNerney and Annie Murphy Paul discuss how creativity plays a role in the stimulation of the senses.…
Creativity, an essential skill that can simultaneously help advance the world and communicate different perceptions of an idea, has gradually declined since 1990. Original ideas are vital when it comes to problem solving, technological advancements, communication, and much more. If the public worldwide stops creating new ideas, the world will experience a plateau rather than growth in development. In order to boost creativity in the population, it is best to start at the foundation of all skills, school. Initially when considering external influence the frameworks have an agreement on the need for creativity to be judged by others, be it through professional or observant relationships. In terms of the motivations for creativity, the frameworks differ in their suggestions of where creativity comes from, how it can be encouraged, and what this means for the individual. In addition, the frameworks offer different accounts on what creativity means, and whether this is best achieved through personal endeavour or a combined process. Furthermore, it is evident that there is consideration for the social contexts in which creativity manifests itself and the need for recognition and encouragement from those closest to the creative unit. Despite the clear differences in theories across these frameworks, all three frameworks point towards a very complex and fluid process to achieving creativity that is much more intricate than the standard description of creativity.…
