The main challenge of this group situation is that there was a sudden rise of conflict among members at the beginning to mid phase of the project. This resulted the possible development of groupthink (Janis, 2008). As a leader in this situation, I would firstly feel lousy and disappointed in myself that I didn’t take note of group’s division and how the meeting could be more inclusive of everyone’s opinion (Chadha, 2016). However, at that point, I would also probably feel confused but yet curious as to why it was suddenly voiced out, hence thought that I should facilitate to explicit the thoughts and feelings of each member to better understand as well.…

After considering factors such as ICD announcing Display Tech as the winner, operations in a highly decentralized fashion, and credibility issues of the company arising if Fettinger changes the decision and winning Heidelberg, Mr. Fettinger should let ICD to source its X73 component to display Tech as the winner. In addition, Mr. Fettingger should probably listen to the arguments to learn the managers’ thinking processes and not interfere in the dispute, considering that strong arguments can be made for having Mr. Fettinger do nothing. If the managing directors are all making rational arguments, then they should have their autonomy and freedom of sourcing and Zumwald could continue to operate in a decentralized environment. In general, the…

In this scenario conflict from role ambiguity can be reduced simply by setting specific tasks for every member of the organization. Peter Smith should only have been focusing on providing emotional support to the members of the organization. He should have had nothing to do with any financial decisions because he is not qualified for that task. Both Peter Smith and Keith Schmidt should have taken an integrative approach and focused “on commonalties rather than differences” (“Lewicki, R. & Barry, B.”, 2011). The commonalities would have been a clear passion for the organization, and the need to expand the museum in order to share their love of art with more members of the local community.…

People go about their day conforming to whatever it is they encounter, not even regarding their morals or cultural heritage. The question I ask myself is, “Why would someone stand by and not express who they really are when their culture is being ridiculed?” People with different cultures should share their culture with others so that other people may learn about different things and to accept different types of people. It is the other peoples job to listen and accept differences in heritage with open arms and realize that were all stuck on this earth together and we have to find a way to make it work and to make the best of our situation. Being different is something that not all people embrace or even acknowledge in their everyday lives.…
