The driver confronted the two women and told them to stop giving the pigs water. While Krajnc asked the driver to show compassion, he threatened her with physical assault and called the police. Now Krajnc is being charged with criminal mischief -- interference with the use, enjoyment of and operation of property -- and fined $5,000 for showing thirsty pigs compassion. Why would Rae Concha intentionally kill Jason Johnson, his best friend with his Adderall? It is a known fact that Jason died, and that Adderall and alcohol was found in his body but was it really Rae Concha that caused it? Dr. Casey Burke testified that Jason’s abuse of alcohol caused cardiac arrest, killing him. He got all of the information to get to this conclusion from the autopsy that Dr. Ricki Sanchez did, and from Jason’s previous medical records. If there is an issue with his examination, it would be due to inaccurate information from Dr. Sanchez’s autopsy.…
Reading this statement the my first understanding of the quote is defined as, having a society where “fantasies” are demanded by order and are also created by order. This might first be hard to understand but while looking through the work of Laura Mulvey we come to understand that “phantasy” is a mixture of sexual desire and self-image. Mulvey states, “During its history, the cinema seems to have evolved a particular illusion of reality in which this contradiction between libido and ego has found a beautifully complementary phantasy world.” (VP & NC pg. 308).…

In a school in Detroit a teacher by the name of Tiffani Eaton tried to stop a fight between two students by hitting both of them with a broom. Because of her actions the school fired her, the students were suspended. In my opinion her punishment was unjustified, although I can understand the other side of the coin. She did cause the students physically and mentally harm. As well as brook the schools policy by not getting security and hitting a student.…
Energy independency has now become an international subject, spreading with radical pioneers who seek independence from the local power grid. Henk Rogers reiterates, through his campaign to run his house on solar electricity and amicable quest to ensure Hawaii's electrical independency by 2045, that energy independency is accomplished when an individual or even a community can successfully supply their own energy needs without assistance from the power grid. Through his tenacious aspiration to encourage residents to go off grid, Rogers has inspired countless residents to become energy independent. In doing so, he has prioritized it as his ‘number one’ objective, insistent to reduce carbon emission from combustible fuels. The key factor that lead him to partake of the clean energy movement was perturbing fact that Hawaii’s hallmark coral reefs are perishing in the increasingly acidic ocean.…

Indeed, quiz show provides a feeling of everyone has equal opportunities to win no matter what job, talent, class, gender or race they are through doing same quizzes. As Holmes has argued about Fiske's explanation of games and rituals, games separate out winners from contestants as different, but rituals bringing different individuals in same levels and implying commonality (2008, p.93). In Mastermind, rituals fill in that idea by reducing individual's differences and make them compete at same starting line as equal competitor. For example, the host askes each contestant's name, job and the specialist area they choose to do the quiz before they start to answer, and tells competitors that each of them have equal time to answer the quizzes which…
