Medieval Times Research Paper

Medieval Times Many countries have evolved throughout time to reach how life is today. The went through are the times without written history. Then life went through the middle ages. Therefore, after that life went through the medieval ages. One of the multiple times that humans have gone through is the medieval times. Today, many different cities have different ways they look, but back during the medieval time period they had a notable difference of how their cities looked. Medieval times, date all the way back to 500 A.D. and went to the 1500s. Medieval cities had either mud or cobblestone roads. These roads were a problem for when it rained. In cities with mud roads the streets were used to throw out the experiments. When it rained a lot the experiments would be washed away. On the other hand though when it rained a little the experiments would be soaked. Once the water from the excrement evaporates the smell would then linger not causing a pleasant smell. This wasn’t a problem in cobblestone cities. Although that did not mean the cities were bad. Merchants in the village sold their goods every day. They traded gems, silks, and other luxuries from Genoa and Venice, that came from the ports of Italy. Italy traded with the east merchants. They quickly learned how to get things cheaper and sold them for more. Later on kings made merchants pay money to them. This was one of the first poll taxes. Commanders either ran the farm, sewed, made food, or worked in their shops all day. They didn’t have it that bad, they were able to make enough money for the regular required poll tax. The kings and the queens just relaxed most of the time. They made laws and told what to people to do. No one could not do what the king or queen asked otherwise they would have been
