Medieval Times Compared To Today

The medieval times were very different from today. People who lived through the Medieval times had hard times and lived very different than us today. When comparing and contrasting medieval times with modern times, it is easy to see the times are different. Throughout this essay, I will compare and contrast the housing and living, diets and occupations between modern time and medieval time of my adopted identity and myself.
If I lived in Medieval times my name would be Audrey Chapman and my occupation would be a merchant who lived in a townhouse in a big city, so it would have been easy to trade and sell my goods. I would have been more than likely married and have had children. I would have also been wealthy because merchants in the medieval times tended to be wealthy. My attire would consist of bright woolen clothing with undergarments. Bright clothing represented wealth and since merchants tended to be wealthy they wore bright colors. One thing that would have been good about my job is that if I wanted a day off I would get it because I would have worked for myself. I would have also traveled and trafficked often with foreign countries. In Modern time I work two jobs, one as a cashier at a grocery store and one jobs at a barn caring for horses.
