Thanks for the post! I do agree with many of the points that you have made. It would be extremely difficult to follow the medieval calendar for many reasons. More specifically, advances in technology has changed the way people live their lives in the 21st century. As a culture, we no longer have to pay attention to planting and harvesting time. Furthermore, with inventions like central heating and air we no longer have to celebrate certain holidays during the winter months for the purpose of staying warm. Now one may argue that those times were simpler and modest challenging the complexities of life today. However, I don’t think people today would have it any other way!
