Medicine Cat Ranking System

Patrols - The clan preforms routine hunting and boarder patrols, however, any prey they bring home must be divided by half and given to the ancestors. 4 pieces of prey = 2 sacrificed.

Command - The Clan cats have a traditional chain of command. Concerns are reported to the deputy, who reports to the clan leader, who reports to the Onyx. This means, instead of giving thanks to StarClan for prey, they may choose to give thanks to the Cats of the Sand, or not at all, as half of the prey is offered to the Cats of the Sand anyways.

Views - Most Clan cats treat the Ancient Ones as if they were gxds among mortals. After all, they are gifted, wise, and many consider them to be quite beautiful. The Tribe has been there to help the Clan every step of the way, but some cats see otherwise. Because Clan cats are not fully desert-born, the Tribe treats outsiders much better than they do Clan cats.

Relations - Clan cats still greatly dislike outsiders, kittypets and loners alike, but much of the time they are forced to coexist with at least one outsider in their camp, as that is the rules of the Tribe. The culture group that I found intriguing was the Tiwi people. They inhabit the Melville and Bathurst islands, which spans out to roughly three thousand square miles. I grew up on a farm with about six thousand acres of land used for cattle and planting crops. I always perceived my area of land to be quite extensive, but after learning about the Tiwi’s plot of land I realized how small my farm actually is. The two islands are described as being heavily forested.…

A leader or “chief” was chosen through collective agreement as well as all other social and political matters. In 2012, zoologist Peter Menkhorst conducted a study to investigate the claims that large predatory cats inhabit Victoria. This was done to satisfy the many claims of large cat sightings and reports of the animals attacking and eating livestock. Menkhorst concluded that: “The most parsimonious explanation for many of the reported sightings is that they involve large, feral individuals of the Domestic Cat Felis catus. However, some evidence cannot be dismissed entirely, including preliminary DNA evidence, footprints and some behaviours that seem to be outside the known behavioural repertoire of known predators in Victoria.”…
