Medicine Career Path

I have chosen medicine as my career path. I intend to pursue medicine for a variety of reasons including the ability to have a significant impact on the world and to altruistically assist people. Numerous students often dream of achieving a line of work exclusively for financial security. Although such a motivation is perfectly acceptable, I believe that I am in a position to exceed the goal of financial security and aim to assist people without personal benefit to the best of my abilities.
Nonetheless, the inclination to aid without any material benefit and maintain a positive impact may have arisen from a physician who is a surgical pathologist and educator at the Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Sattar regularly advises aspiring physicians and members of the community regarding any educational or career inquiries. Countless amounts of people have benefitted from him which has led to many wanting to imitate him and achieving educational and career success. I intend to achieve similar educational heights as Dr.Sattar in order to effectively influence the lives of the younger generation and steer them toward success.

In my humble opinion, among the essential life skills, learning medical techniques and being able to provide services at free of expense is personally a principal focus of altruistically helping others. With the rising cost of healthcare and the inability of many to afford the cost of a decent medical treatment, I believe that doctors must collectively gather to treat those who cannot afford to pay for a bodily treatment even if alternative federal means fail to accommodate the populace.
Finally, the pursuing of career as a physician entails immense amounts of effort and dedication. I hope to engage in an intellectually taxing career in order to maximize my potential as a human

“Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity,” said Hippocrates. I have always wanted to work in the medical field, specifically as a Physician’s Assistant because I’ve wanted to help people ever since I was a small child. My mother is a nurse and my father is in the military and a volunteer firefighter, so I’ve been surrounded by people that help others for a living. I always loved knowing that my parents impacted others every single day that they went to work. I want to be able to look myself in the mirror when the day is done and truthfully say that I impacted someone’s life as greatly as my parents always have.…

The study of medicine has evolved over thousands of years from something of an enigma governed by religious spheres to the highly specialized science of preventing, treating, and curing diseases of the human body. While my interest in becoming a physician did begin with a love of natural sciences, it has, like the study of medicine, evolved into something much larger than topics covered in my general biology courses. I want to work with people on managing their conditions, learn from doctors before me as well as patients, and be a positive influence despite often-negative diagnoses. Individuals all have different reasons for wanting to attend medical school, but I believe that we are either called to practice medicine or we are not. I am drawn…
