On the other hand, even though he was afraid he was also excited by the trill of it and what he could do for people and how to help them. He also states that medicine is a complicated thing. By saying that medicine is not perfect that it has its imperfections and that as long as humans are in control of it it will have its problems. Stating that medicine has to be practiced a bunch of times before someone can become specialist in a certain category of medicine. There was this one story that he told, where these doctors only operated on hernia patients and no one else. He found out that the more you work at something the better you will be. These doctors were excellent at their jobs and they were better at their jobs than the doctors that had a lot more experience then them but in other fields of work. …show more content…
He feels that doctors have uncertainties because there is still facts and knowledge that they don’t know about the science of medicine. They feel as if there are things out there that science or even mankind can not explain. When there are problems like this that involves the unknowing the doctors start to question whether or not the problem is real. Since they have never seen it, they don’t know if it’s true meaning that they have no medicine or way of fixing the problem. So that means that they either have to let it go and doesn't treat it or take the risk of helping and end up with a miracle or a bigger problem than what they were presented
