In healthcare industry, the healthcare provider’s ultimate goal is to deliver the best possible care for their patient’s. This can be achieve by involving their own clinical experience and valuing each patient’s belief and preferences as well as integrating scientific evidence based research combined with scientific knowledge. As a human all of us make errors and there are many reason for medication errors and there indeed many ways as well to avoid it. As a nurse I believe, nurses need to awareness on medication errors and look for ways to minimize the risks. According to Aronson (2009), the important component in medication error is identify the root cause and the lesson learnt to be charge to experience and further monitoring. Nurses can reduce medication error by implementing evidence based practice via CPG.

In today’s healthcare service, there is indeed growing recognition on the significance of evidenced based practice for clinical decision making. Healthcare providers are urged to find ways in implanting evidence based practice in one way to do it by implementing CPG (Oxman, et. al. 2007). I strongly believe that if every nurse developed the sense of ownership to nursing practice development, it will surely lead to great change in nursing profession and a change in nurse’s behaviour as well as practices.
