Toward the end of the AMDM contract’s life a new Pharmacy director was hired by the medical center, upon evaluating the problems we were encountering with the vendors of AMDM, he decided the hospitals will be better off with a new AMDM; and since he had vast experience with implementing medication dispense automation systems and contract negotiations, he was in a great position to lead the project successfully.
