Medical Transcriptionist Goals

Decent Essays
There are many reasons I would like to be a medical transcriptionist and many goals that it would help me achieve. My three goals are to make sure I’m financially stable with a good paying job, be able to in the future when I have a family make sure that I can have time for both my job and them, and lastly I love anything medical and since I would not be a very good doctor to deal with the issue I can at least transcribe it. First, my goal to be financially stable comes from my parents. They always tell me that a job is very beneficial and you need one especially after high school. My mom is a stay at home mom which is what I wish to be but I also wish to have my own job and not have to depend on someone else to pay the bills or work so we can eat. Also, having a job is proven to give you more of a sense of responsibility. Secondly, being a medical transcriber most of the time means working from home which is beneficial to anyone who looks forward to having a family in the future because it means they can make both worlds work together. I love to hear about them and see then when the person whom was injured is not there because I tend to cringe at the sight of broken bones or huge gashes in body parts. That is why I like this job and believe it is perfect for me because I get to transcribe and hear about what happened, how it happened, and how it was fixed. Being a medical transcriptionist means making sure you get everything correct and if the doctor messes up you can ask him what he really meant and kind of get an insight of what goes on and learn a little about what happens on a daily basis. Maybe one day when I get into the groove of medical transcribing I may be able to actually become a doctor because I will have been their undercover brains due to documenting everything they’ve

After spending the summer working long hours at a minimum wage job, I quickly came to understand the value of money and how to budget. I had always been a very frugal person, but once I started earning my own money I became even more careful with my spending. Both require you to weigh whether the product you are going to invest in is worth its expense.…
