Once working with an LVN working a busy Medical- Surgical Unit, I normally map out the plan for the day, how I will delegate task to the LVN. The time I made a nursing error is when the LVN rushed through the IV piggybacks pulling the patients that needed to have their antibiotics at a certain time. This process is something I never do since the unit was oddly busy this particular day, I allowed the LVN to provide the antibiotics to be hung for the day. I for whatever reason did not double check the medication the LVN had provided. The LVN had given the antibiotic, that had two patients with the same last name but, different first names. Once I hung the medication, I then proceeded with the next patient. The LVN went back to the room to check
