Validity of screening tests in the medical field and the field of psychology is extremely important. These tests help decipher if an individual needs to proceed with further assessments (Gregory, 2011). Without validity of tests, one would not be able to accurately screen for mental health disorders or ailments within the body (Gregory, 2011).
