Medical Marijuana Medical Cannabis is an extraction of the Cannabis plant. THC and CBD are extracted and are used to treat or relieve symptoms and conditions. It is used by inhalation and ingestion. In states where Medical Cannabis is legal there are a variety of cannabis forms like, dry herb, oils, creams, pills, and many different edibles. How often has the current issue on Medical Marijuana been brought to your attention? There are people against it and people for it. These states have had an increase in population since then. People are leaving their hometowns in hopes of being able to use marijuana as a medicine for themselves and their family. Many people argue that Medical Cannabis should stay illegal. It is only really being used for recreational reasons. They say that Cannabis is an addicting drug, an easy way for people to lead themselves into harder drugs like Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Heroin. They call Marijuana a gateway drug. People who are opposed of Medical Marijuana believe that it impairs a persons judgment. Scientist have done research on the negative effects of Cannabis. People have short and long term effects on their health and brain. A few short term effect are: temporary paranoia and hallucinations, red eyes, euphoria and dry mouth. A few long term effect are: Breathing problems, Throat irritations and symptoms of chronic bronchitis. Euphoria, is a state or feeling of intense excitement and happiness. This feeling is addicting since everyone wants to live happy lives. Although this could be addicting, after people feel euphoria they then feel a sense of tranquility.
