Can a joint a day keep the doctor away? Marijuana, is a plant cultivated for its flowering tops and leaves. Also called hemp, marijuana is a source of rope, fibers, birdseed, medical products and others. In fact, the Philippines once provided the United States with rope from this plant before the Japanese cut the supply line. In the year of 1937, however, marijuana was banned as the people misused it.
Medically prescribed marijuana has a beneficial effect on patients who suffer from disabilities, cancer, and mental health issues.
Medical marijuana can help different types of disabilities like schizophrenia, multiple sclerosis, and HIV.

Cannabinoid receptors found in brain cells have a role in controlling nausea and vomiting. Animal studies have shown that THC and other cannabinoids act on cannabinoid receptors to prevent vomiting caused by certain types of chemotherapy ("Cannabis and Cannabinoids"). When patients can not control their nausea and vomiting , there is not much to do. Chemotherapy is very harsh on a persons body. When it is causing problems like nausea and vomiting, there is not much a patient can do besides get prescribed another medicine. It is not safe, nor is it healthy to be on multiple medications. Marijuana can help people who suffer from mental health issues like anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) , and severe depression.
People with anxiety can benefit from medical marijuana, as it decreases anxiety( "Can Marijuana Treat Anxiety Disorders?" ).
When diagnosed with anxiety, there is not much doctors can do but give patients some different prescription pills and suggest talk therapy. Taking medicine and going to therapy may become very spendy and time consuming. Anxiety is something everyone struggles with at least once in their lifetime. To find another treatment option other than pills, is wonderful! Cannabis is proven to act on nerve cells and to dampen anxiety and give relief to patients who suffer from anxiety(Medical Marijuana for Anxiety? - Here 's Why).
