First, the expenses of a company will increase from hiring the applicant with the need of medical marijuana. In general, many companies in U.S. require employees to have a drug testing before starting to work. If the people with medical marijuana are hired, the company may have to provide the drug testing more frequently because the level of marijuana in those people should not be higher than the standard limit for the medical marijuana in each disease. The federal law does not allow people to use the medical marijuana; therefore, the company applying this law will get in trouble to hire the applicant’s need medical marijuana. However, the people work for the company for a while, but their doctors find out that they need the medical marijuana. This case may be a specific problem that the company has to find the way to solve it. On the contrary, this problem will not happen with the company applying the state laws, but it must be twenty- three states that the medical marijuana is legal. Moreover, without the protection of laws and ethics for the medical marijuana, the company may cause a big trouble to the working environment if it lets some employees use it in the workplace because the smoke from marijuana is a pollution for others. As a consequence, the company should avoid facing this problem at the beginning by not hiring this applicant. If the medical marijuana is legal for all laws, this problem will be solved
