Medical Detection Dogs is an informative article published by the Podiatry review in 2011. This article examines medical detection dogs and offers an example of how a diabetic alert dog has changed a little girl’s life. The article offers a simplified version of how a diabetic alert dog senses hypoglycemic episodes and what they can be trained to do in response (bring testing kits, medical supplies, etc.).
