The use of medical marijuana is being widely tested for its use to help treat medical conditions that are debilitating too many different people. These tests are being done on two different groups, one is given the cannabis to smoke and another group is given the placebo. The amount of days on each study can vary since it is the researcher’s choice. It has been done randomly. After the participants are asked a few questions by the research who then records the information. The good thing is these test are being constantly done to determine the side effects from it and the view people have on this plant as a medicine. There are a few different reasons why people are prescribed it. Also different strains help with different medical conditions. It can be used for pain management, depression, lack of appetite, nausea, and other conditions. There are a lot more studies going on with the use of medical cannabis. There are studies being done in lab settings and with people in their natural environments. This helps researchers in determining the medicinal qualities that marijuana can have. As time goes on with the studies more information will be let out. This could possibly get more people off the narcotics that are used for pain. Most of the pain medication is all processed by man, whereas marijuana is grown naturally. A lot of doctors now a days are prescribing medical marijuana to their patients. After the application process is done and a place is approved, then there is an approval letter sent to the person or persons that applied to start up a dispensary (Zoback, 2015). The newly revised process are licensing Registered Marijuana Dispensaries in the same way as other healthcare facilities like pharmacies, which DPH also administers. After reviewing some studies and fact I have determined that I am for medical marijuana. This is also coming from the fact that I have seen it work on people with pain and different mood disorders. I will always be open to review any new research that comes out on this topic. I am looking forward to seeing more
