I aspire to attend a university and pursue a higher level of education. My parents did not attend college or even finish high school. I want to be the first in my family to pursue a college degree. I started my journey on the first day of high school. I recognized that I had put my academics before anything in order to have a promising future. Through perseverance and dedication, I have earned the title valedictorian which shows that I am motivated to be successful.
I currently have plans of attending Eastern Michigan University. I want to eventually become a physician assistant. A college degree will provide a fundamental building block to the road to the medical field. One event in my life inspired me to consider the medical field. I developed an interest for helping people who are sick. I was able to volunteer at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital for three months which allowed me to see if the medical field was right for me.
