Personal Goals

I aspire to attend a university and pursue a higher level of education. My parents did not attend college or even finish high school. I want to be the first in my family to pursue a college degree. I started my journey on the first day of high school. I recognized that I had put my academics before anything in order to have a promising future. Through perseverance and dedication, I have earned the title valedictorian which shows that I am motivated to be successful.
I currently have plans of attending Eastern Michigan University. I want to eventually become a physician assistant. A college degree will provide a fundamental building block to the road to the medical field. One event in my life inspired me to consider the medical field. During my freshman year, my brother had grown very ill and was hospitalized for a month. I visited consistently and observed the work done by the medical staff. I developed an interest for helping people who are sick. I was able to volunteer at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital for three months which allowed me to see if the medical field was right for me.
