Medical assistant and clinical nurse specialist: Most people who come to college face some type of challenges such as family obligations or struggles, work obligations, personal medical struggles, or financial instability. The challenges I will face during my journey at ECPI are all the above. My parents are not in the greatest health, I’m working two jobs just to make ends meet and I struggle with Generalized Anxiety Disorder with panic attacks and Depression.

I also read nothing but positive reviews about the environment in which I would work. This is very encouraging because I wouldn’t think anyone would want to work for a company that didn’t treat them in an encouraging manner. According to one anonymous review on indeed.com, among other positive things, the person stated, “It was an honor to be a part of the Duke Health System…” (2017). Another review from someone who had worked for Duke and retired after 36 years stated that, “Duke is the type of company I am proud to tell anyone I worked there!”. (2016).
