Medical Assistant Careers

Being able to help people was something I always preferred to go for when given the choice to choose a career of interest, but after learning more about different careers, the medical field grew an interest on me. Now needing to make the biggest decision that’ll affect my future, on what I will pursue to do in the future,medical assistant and registered nurse felt like a suitable careers for me. I feel as if these two careers best suits me because as for a registered nurse, I feel I would be able to fit in taking in my traits and skills, such as always wanting to help people, being able to work under a top person, to work with others efficiently etc. As for becoming a medical assistant came as an interest to me when my sister had became one …show more content…
Registered nurses, as you may know work underneath the doctor by assisting them, but they have more roles than assisting a doctor as they are constantly with the patients. If not doing the known, taking out secretary and data work themselves, as they record all the patients blood pressures, recording all of their patient’s agenda etc. In addition, registered nurses go over treatments and tests or test results, so that the patient and their family is able to understand what’s happening, as well as make calls and do paperwork. With needing to able to take those actions, to be hired as a registered nurse one must have the skills of punching in data to input patient’s data, communication skills to comfort patients, make calls, and explain certain things. Furthermore, registered nurses need to able to use the instruments like needles, having focus and concentration, and having the motive to get through the job especially when it comes to unappealing sights or scenarios. Similar to registered nurses, medical assistants also take orders from doctors but also nurses. medical assistants need administrative skills as they record data and explain to patients minor things such as why things are taking too long. medical assistants also need clerical skills as they need to sterilize, organize, and set up the
