Media Report: Talazia's Unexpected Suicide

PER REPORTER: Talazia mentioned to several people at school that she is super unhappy at home. She has contemplated suicide. She said she knew she could cut herself. She didn't know what she would cut herself with or where at. According to the reporter, it didn't seem too concrete. She also mentioned running away. She named a cousin named Tia, grandfather, and other relatives where she would runaway to. She named places she stayed at before. Talazia made the reporter aware of these concerns on today. This is the reporter's first time hearing of this. Per reporter, Talazia has good grades; she is very smart, polite, articulate, well-behaved, and a social butterfly. Melissa was already attached to Talazia. Talazia just found out that Melissa is not her grandmother; it's unknown if it's true or not but that would explain why she has been crying. The grandmother beats and hits her with wet towels, kitchen utensils, and her hand. She said she has welts and scars on her chest, back, and legs. She is wearing a long sleeve shirt today. There was nothing the reporter could see; the reporter stated she didn't ask her to take anything off. The grandmother does it because she said she acts and behaves like her mother. She has told her she will end up like her mother. The reporter has never met the grandmother. A school administrator said the grandmother has said she wish Talazia would stop acting like her crack head mama. Talazia said the grandmother says this type of stuff to her all the time. Talazia didn't say how long it's been going on but she made it sound like a long time. Last school years was the reporter's last time seeing Talazia in her office.
