On Friday, February 10, I met with the Media Specialist at Valley Elementary School in Jefferson, MD for 45 minutes. She is a McDaniel graduate and had no teaching experience before she became a Media Specialist. She loves being a Media Specialist and working with young children. This shows in her demeanor when she talks about her program.
I was immediately energized when I entered her space as it is attractive and fun. I wanted to bring my daughter there to take pleasure in the environment. There are comfortable spots to read, a makerspace area, and a plethora of books to enjoy.
