Firstly, many politicians were first just citizens with regular lives, they then decided that they could make a change in the way that our country was being run. Once they ran for a position that had power, they were no longer in the shadows, they were in the spotlight of the country. “...a position of power takes away from this area of privacy. It is proportional, in that at the highest level of power (politicians) your actions will necessarily be of public attention…” as stated by social-issues. Political polls that are posted on social media are to receive the public’s opinion. The polls get confusing, for the reason that there can be many different polls, with the same topic but a different public opinion vote. For example, there are multiple polls asking what whether or not the public approves of what the president is doing; let’s say, on one poll the majority of the public voted that they strongly approve of the president, for his actions. Now, let’s say another poll asks the same question, but in that poll the public opinion is that they strongly disapprove of the president’s actions. Now which poll is more accurate? “Political polls are an important part of every campaign. They are often confusing, because you can often find multiple polls with contradictory results posted on the very same day.” (sysomos). As stated by sysomos, there are multiple polls that might ask the same or similar question but, they show contradictory results. The media makes it difficult to understand what the public believes, since there are many different polls with the same question but different outcomes of public opinion. “Opinion polls are subject to bias and often produce faulty information on which decision are made.” (idebate).
