So to top it all off this is probably one of the best business’ to go into because of all the great things it can lead to in life. The first topic of this paper is media side to all of it and how it affects players and coaches if they're not careful. In this business it’s real easy to get caught up in the media when you pay attention to what everyone has to say about you whether how well you played the other night or bad you did. Sometimes this causes health problems towards the coaches forcing them into medical leave. Now if you're a high division one coach who is winning and knows how to handle most things, then they won’t have to worry about medical problems or take a break from the job. It’s understandable that you have a family issue or something, but in most instances the coaches who have been doing this for a long time, knows how to handle the stress and pressure that comes along with it. When you first start off as a coach these are things that you learn to grasp so that later on in life you know what to do. Here is a prime example from: “Pressure on Coaches Takes a Heavy Toll” in Orange County Register by Smith she explains “Coaches, particularly in the four major pro leagues and NCAA Division I football and men's basketball, have long pushed themselves to exhaustion to stay off the hot seat and avoid a pink slip.” (par 5) This is difficult because when you do so much like this it is important to remain calm and do everything that you can in order to stay on top. Once you get in the hot seat it’s hard to get out because you have to prove yourself worthy enough to still be in that position of coaching and if you're not they don’t have a problem letting you go.
