Should it not matter to how much media can affect our personal life? The media is a number of applications that correlate to social networking and well-being of a person. Media effects the lives of many people through the thought of wanting the same reflection they see. Media has a huge impact on our society worldwide. Sociological aspects fall into the topic of how that media effect one’s life mentally, physically, and emotionally. Many times media has a debauch on one’s life. The way people interact with one another through media builds a strong social relationship in life. Many people fulfill their emotions through media and connecting with others online. However, there were some considerations. Young adults use Facebook daily to chat with friends and socialize. Though, many young adults are becoming “influenced by multiple factors including a number of Facebook friends, perceived supportiveness of one’s online network, depressive symptomatology, loneliness, and self-esteem”(Kross, 1). Sometimes, young adults might become jealous of the number of friends their Facebook friends have, how their friends look in their pictures, or how their friends feel based on their status. Facebook causes its users to compare their lives to others. Most users wish to have their friends’ or followers’ life. While a small percentage lives without doubt of their life’s satisfaction. Also, results included that interacting “directly gave participants a better life satisfaction” (Kross, 4). Major applications such as loneliness are extremely important to the society, as well as using Facebook and interacting directly. Facebook causes young adults to express their loneliness by talking and posting statuses, however, it also, causes Facebook users to isolate from physical interaction and activity within the society. Many young adults rely on Facebook, instead of interacting with people in their society
