When international or internal conflict occurs through war, media presents certain cultures and race as prime victims or suspects in the cause in the matter, “For example, the spring 2011 uprisings by Arab peoples against dictatorships in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, and Yemen, among other Middle Eastern countries, offer a striking example of democratic organizing enabled by new media forms that helped bypass government control and abusive dictatorships. “(Jensen 9). Media bias influences the negative effect of war with all the disadvantages it presents towards our economy with supplying our troops. With unreliable resources media bias information can have racism and prejudice which occurs in our society allowing many innocent people with a certain cultures and ethnic groups become targets of discrimination. Debating on which side is morally correct in war can be difficult to visualize, but with the many news sources and journalist in the world they use a technique called propaganda which publicized bias media that affect younger generations in our society unconsciously. With a prime example of “Media owners, whether powerful families, individuals or corporation seek to influence news content in many ways” (Kallen 18). These many people who produce mass media persuade a one sided argument on a preference side allowing our society to see the one side aspect. Having our nation to believe a one sided view on what is affecting us rather than seeing what is happening to the other side. Propaganda can demonstrates passive racism and prejudice towards certain races that occurs in war.
