Media Bias Research Paper

Media bias is generally described as the prejudice shown through different media outlets, such as newspapers, news channels, and even radio shows. While some people do not see harm in miniscule opinions, the general public does not reflect on the power these news reporters contain. With a single misused adjective, these journalists have the ability to shape and contort opinion’s society holds of certain situation or person. During an experiment produced by the Pew Research Center, it was discovered that 67% of society believes that there is a fair amount of bias assessments shared through media sources. Countless news sources drown viewers with their own opinion’s, giving the viewer a slanted story. Many types of bias, including racial, gender, and political bias, corrupt the minds of the viewers by filling their heads with distort information. News stations and radio channels pick and choose what they broadcast in order to help themselves. Even though the media’s job is to be a voice for the public, they only voice what they want the public to know. When people watch the media, they assume that they are correctly informed, although this is not the case. The viewers of these bias news channels speak on what they have been taught, but they do not know that what they speak about is full of bias issues.
