Media in the world has advanced immensely since the early 1800’s to present day. Communication can be defined as “how we interact at a number of levels through messages”. Communication can be subdivided into four separate categories which are interpersonal, intrapersonal, group, and mass communication. As times have changed, the way we communicate with people near and far have truly advanced. Society has gone from minimal to no use of media in a world where technology and media are a part of our daily life. Media can come in various forms such as internet, radio, newspapers, magazines, and books. One huge aspect of media that has been incorporated into today’s world is social media. Before social media, one message could have taken weeks to be relayed however, in today’s world we have social media that allows us to get our messages across in a matter of seconds. One of the most prominent social media websites in today’s world is Facebook. …show more content…
Facebook doesn’t allot many features geared toward this method however, you are able to post pictures and status’ that can only be viewed by yourself. Once you turn on this setting, you have to manually turn it back on once you want to post something others can see which allows you to keep posting things that are only for yourself. Lastly, this website gives you a calendar app that can help you keep track of events which can also be made private so it is only seen by you.
