The use of media is growing and is involved in almost every aspect of life. No individual can escape using social media whether it be in their personal life or work life. For this research my topic is media use and body image. Individuals spend hours using or watching media. I personally spend almost 3-4 hours on social media or watching media. With its growing influence media has the opportunity to influence individuals of all age groups. Whether it be with their political choices, or their aspirations in life. With its growing impact it is necessary to examine, does media affect body image? After reviewing articles, I can come to the conclusion that media affects body image more negatively than positively.

Appendix C: From the in-depth interviews I expect some of the individuals to be reserved. I do expect some of them to be more hesitant when answering certain questions about their confidence and how it ties to social media. The interview may start off a bit slow, but then pick up pace toward the end of the Interview. Some may even rush through the interview to “get it over with”. Furthermore, some of my interviewees may not go as in-depth as I would like them to.
To take notes for this research project I will jot down notes about their facial expressions and body movements that they display during the interview. I will also make notes of the surroundings at this time. For each interviewee I will have at least two pages of jottings that are handwritten. However, I will also have a recorder present to catch anything I may have missed or not had the chance to jot down during the
