I am doing Medgar Evers for my black history month report. I think he is an interesting civil rights activist. He also had a fascinating life. I thought it was worthy to write a paper about Medgar Evers because I did not know anything about him at the start of this project. He was worth my time because I learned a lot. Medgar Evers was born on July 2, 1925 in Decatur, Mississippi. His full name is Medgar Wiley Evers. He went to the U.S Army in 1943. He fought in World War 2. He received an honorary discharge in 1946. He went to Alcorn College in 1948 in Lorman, Mississippi. He married in his senior year of college. He married a woman named Myrlie Beasley.
