Meconium Lab Report

To begin with, before the patient was able to be diagnosed, we had to identify why the meconium was not present or meconium aspiration. We searched for any clinical signs or symptoms since the access to uncontaminated amniotic fluid or placenta was blocked. To do this we will need to perform laboratory test, because we discovered that the baby has a bacterial infection. This was developed throughout the labor from the mothers bacterial infection ascending in the uterus. The infection contracted to some severe symptoms, such as a fever, an increased heart rate, uterine tenderness, fetal tachycardia, purulent uterus discharge, and foul-smelling amniotic fluid. Findings from the laboratory test are helpful in justifying the diagnosis of the chorioamnionitis,

Controls were eligible mothers who delivered a neonate at or after 37 weeks of gestation, consecutive to an enrolled case. Mothers who gave birth to twins or those with neonates having congenital anomalies were excluded from the study. Total 3ml venous blood was taken from each subject for further molecular study. Ethical clearance for the study was obtained from the Institutional ethical committee of King George’s Medical University. Written informed consent was obtained from participating mothers.…

The Channel EQ and the Compressor are perhaps the most used Plugins on your Channel Strips. To add them to a Channel Strip is as simple as clicking on the Plugin Button ➊ and select them from the Plugin Menu ➋. However, there are faster ways to do that. ➡ Attention There are two Channel Strip Components that are visible by default (you can toggle them in the Channel Strip Component Window ➌ (open as popup menu or Popover window): Channel Strip Components ➌ • Gain Reduction Meter ➍: When the Compressor Plugin (or the Limiter, or Adaptive Limiter) is loaded on the Channel Strip, then this purple meter displays the amount of gain reduction. • EQ Thumbnail ➎: This area displays the frequency curve of the Channel EQ Plugin.…

The valves were set up so that the water would flow from Tank 2, through the ½” nominal diameter, type L copper pipe, through the needle valve WV5 (Appendix A), and back to Tank 2. WV5 was initially closed. The Honeywell STD 924 DP meter’s pressure tap lines were placed at PT 1, just before the P-1 Sterlings Fluid System Peerless Pump PE50B1, and PT 10, just after WV5. A Fluke 179 multimeter was attached to the DP electrical box. The multimeter was set to read electrical signal in the form of DC current with units of mA.…

Shakieta said it was reported to her yesterday by another Social Worker (Christy) whom also works at the hospital she works at that two twin baby boys were born yesterday. However, she said their concern is their mother (Amanda) tested positive for amphetamines, meth amphetamines, and benzo on admission. She said Amanda only had a prescription allowing her to take benzo but she said she was doing the other drugs on her own; however, she said when the children were tested their results came back negative for everything. She also mentioned that a meconium screening has not yet been done on the children, but she said they have ordered for the screening to be done.…

Eq.\ref{Bi} is a projection of the attribute vector $I_i$ in the eigenspace spanned by the first $k_c$ eigenbackgrounds, being $\textbf{b}$ the coefficient vector of the combination. In the standard EIG method the number of eigenbackgrounds retained $k_c$ is chosen by fixing a threshold for the last eigenvalue $\lambda_{k_c}$ retained. The background obtained $B_i$ are then subtracted to the original image and a moving object is identified as the regions of the images in which $I_i-B_i$ is larger than a given threshold. \\In this work the technique was customized for the detection of the moving membrane. At the scope, the backgrounds are constructed considering only the time varying part, $B_i=\Phi_{k_c} \, \textbf{b}$, having rank $k_c$ computed from the distribution of energy…

What is the specific activity of this preparation? 20 uL = 200 000 dpm (divide both sides by 20) 1 uL = 10 000 dpm Glucose = 50 mM = 50 mmol / uL =…

In this lab, we carried out a variety of reactions using different chemicals and metals. A chemical reaction is when the chemical state of the substance you are testing rearranges its ionic and molecular structure. One of the reactions we experienced was single replacement, this consists of one ion switching places with another ion to form a new compound. Another reaction we saw was double replacement. In this reaction, two compounds ions are switched to form two new compounds.…

Despite not having a particularly long history, californium does contain an interesting one. Californium was produced in 1950 at Berkeley, California by a team of scientists.…

As Karmen (2015) discusses in the text, there are varying levels of shared victim culpability for criminal acts. This most recent laboratory exercise led to several learning outcomes, including allowing me a better understanding of how some criminal acts occur and ways in which some types of crimes may be avoided moving forward. This laboratory assignment clearly demonstrated the utility of assigning shared responsibility for criminal acts; the lab report did not involve assigning "blame" to any of the victims, but instead attempting to understand how the victims' actions could have contributed to the crimes that took place. An example of this is found in the victim facilitation portion of the lab exercise, where the victims' actions (posting information on Facebook) led the residential burglaries to occur.…

The purpose of the lab was to determine which unknown substances were ionic compounds, if any, using 4 different methods. This lab was to determine which of the three unknown substances (X, Y & Z) are ionic compounds and which are not ionic compounds. In conclusion unknown Y is an ionic compound and unknown X and Z are not ionic compounds. In order for a substance to be an ionic compound it must have a high melting point, it must be brittle, it must be soluble in water, it can not conduct electricity as a solid, and it must conduct electricity as an aqueous solution. Unknown Y met all of these requirements which is why it must be an ionic compound.…

Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) images and spectra were obtained from various samples of silica and platinum on silica. Each sample contains unique structures which were prepared by etching the surface of silica in different conditions. A scanning electron microscope is a type of electron microscope that produces images of topography and composition by scanning a sample with a focused beam of electrons. Samples can be observed in high vacuum, low vacuum, in wet conditions, or at elevated temperatures.…
