I will be doing my research project on the student led organization MECHA from UCLA. This organization works to educated and engage Chicana/o about their heritage and believes. Most importantly they work to empower perseverance and encouragement to keep going in higher education but also to give back to our own community and engaging with them the importance of education. I would be talking to them directly about the importance the Raza Youth Conference has on them and why they were part of that specific event. I want to see the reasons to why they are involved. My thesis question would be “What is the important factor for students from Latino background to engage themselves with the importance of educating and advocating for Latino rights
