Mean To Me

Who am I, who are you, what is life? What does life mean to you? What life means to me is that you’re here to make a legacy. You’re here to make people remember you after for what you in life. I want to be remembered after I leave somewhere. For instance, schools I want them to say “I’m going to miss that youngster when he leaves”. I desire to transcend and be the greatest there is. In the final stretch of my 6th grade year at Epiphany Middle I was failing and not being the greatest I can, I wasn't doing any homework correctly I was just writing things down on the paper. I assumed the teachers were gullible. I was looking forward for them to just say ok and pass me along. But l thought wrong the teacher caught on to me and asked me one of the …show more content…
He took me to the corner and asked if this was true. Instead of doing the work I told him it was done and was doing things that was way more amusing activities than homework. I had told to tell him the truth, since he already knew. After the 15 minute meeting with the teacher, I went home to all my games and TV gone. My body felt empty, but in my head, I knew it was coming for lying. I didn’t even ask any question, I just went to the kitchen table and took out all the work that I slipshod on and did them. An hour into the work my dad calls and tells me “ when you decide to lie and not do what you need to do, you won’t have nice things that you want in life you will be limited on what you can do and get because you have failed.” When we got off the phone I finished all the work and studied for the finals that was coming up. After the finals, I scored a 95 and got all my stuff back and another game that I wanted. In the last few days of school I approach the teacher and apologized for my contrite and told him I made a decision that wasn’t sapient. The lesson that I learned is that you should all way put your best effort out the first time because it will make life easier and failure isn’t an

From kindergarten to the present, I have always wondered about the world around me and always tried to put others needs before myself. My father also thought of me as a caring philosopher because I asked questions like “What is death?”at a young age. My elementary school, Foothill Oak, has shaped some prejudices and arrogance that I did my best to hide and fix through my middle school through high school. In Foothill Oak, I wasn’t challenged much.…

I felt a heartfelt happiness when our class saw a video about Joseph Campbell and his wisdom since 《The Power of Myth》 is a book that shapes my view towards myself even the world. I was called by my teacher today. I knew that he was impressed with my writing before and so had a relieving kind of feeling, but that all went away when I saw him. The facial expression of disappointment made itself clear. He started by telling how my paper was too good that it was impossible for this much improvement to happen. He tells me that I cheated or copied someone else’s paper.…

First and foremost, I would like to make it apparent to you that I am incredibly sorry for lying about the status of an assignment in one of my classes, AP Human Geography. I understand now that what I did was foolish and selfish. It isn’t fair to you as a parent to have your child lie to you, especially in the manner that I went about doing so. What I did was incredibly selfish, but I know my actions are inexcusable. The purpose of me writing all of this is, to put it quite simply, apologize for a lie that I created in order to avoid any the consequences of missing my work.…

Seventeen years of life and the best quote that describes me is extremely boring and weird, however it means so much to me. The quote is "peace; love". This quote is probably the two most powerful words that can be said in my life at this time. The reason for the average and simple quote is because of my two best friends Andrew and Jaedon. We have a friendship that has lasted throughout middle and high school, building bonds that can't be broken.…

When I was growing up, school days were little more than tests of endurance. The days seemed endless and the homework impossible to complete. Like many of my classmates, I was the child of immigrant parents who had received only an elementary education. What was it like, I wondered, to have someone who could help with homework and understood the social dynamics of school? But, like my hard-working parents, I also felt certain that I had a mission in life, and that one day I would achieve something memorable.…
