In this media presentation, my group decided to watch two different movies that can be categorized for each gender. The first movie was “Mean Girls”, this movie is directed to an audience of young women and represents the typical stereotype women that media have portrayed for a long time. The second movie we watched was “Live Free or Die Hard”, this movie represents all the typical characteristics of the man, that is aggressive, protect the girl, and save the world, all at the same time. In these two movies I learned how similar media and society embrace differences between women and men.
